I purchased this HP 2000 Notebook PC Windows 8 64-bit new in 2014. Fixed some problems by restore, refresh and refresh again. A week or two after purchase I upgraded to 8.1, then I put it on Install Updates Automatically for Windows = just found out 3 weeks ago no Windows update from 2014 to 2019.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help! I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Notebook not booting to windows just gets error message. The BIOS can be corrupted during normal operation from a failed BIOS upgrade, or damage from a virus. Recover the BIOS using a key press combination. Turn off the computer.
